An international grower-shipper based in Southern New Jersey/Phili. We are looking for FOB /Business Development people with experience ranging from a couple years to well established. This is a great opportunity to make a positive difference in a company that has tremendous up-side potential!
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target new business development in the retail and wholesale community
- Service existing accounts and contracts, including major retail grocers
- Make presentations of profitable programs to potential and existing customers
- Meeting or exceeding established targets for sales and gross margins
- Accept/enter customer phone orders; ensure orders are recorded accurately
- Ensure customers receive timely and accurate information on product availability, quality and price
- Process / control credit requests per policies; enter credits and monitor history and report results
- Identify, qualify and make solicitations of potential new customers
- Maintain customer call sheet
- Coordinate with all departments of company to ensure customer satisfaction
- Sell a variety of commodities to retail food stores, club stores, and mass merchandisers, produce wholesalers, produce brokers and food service accounts
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers investigate and resolve all customer issues such as delivery, quality, and quantity and attend trade events as required.
Qualifications:
- Combination of education and work experience, experience in a sales either inside/FOB and/or outside, in the produce industry
- Excellent communication and phone skills
- Positive “can do” attitude and team player
- Sees challenges as opportunities
- Proven track record of strong sales, customer relations, meeting quotas and closing deals
- Quick and accurate with paperwork, figures, attentive to detail and good follow through
- Ability to work independently, organized, promote, sell and secure new business
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situation
