Job Description: 

We are a fast growing fruit and vegetable company located in the South East, looking to hire a Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The company is a category leader with a reputation for quality products and people. That combined with our state of the art packing facility and focus on future growth are what make this company stand out from competitors.
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for business development, oversee the management of the sales department, and will develop and manage the annual marketing strategy. This position will work closely with the ownership group.
The ideal candidate will provide leadership and continuous improvement in a team environment. This person will lead by example, encouraging innovation while setting goals and making timely decisions. This individual will be expected to energize and develop the sales and supporting staff.

Requirements: 
  • Requires 5-10 years' experience in sales leadership role with a produce grower/shipper
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Proven leadership experience
  • High-energy self-starter
  • Must be willing to travel up to 33% of time
  • Walmart experience strongly preferred

 

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Hire, train and manage FOB sales team
  • Manage and execute FOB sales strategy
  • Develop and manage annual marketing strategy
  • Build seasonal programs with retailers
  • Acquire new business through effective business development process
  • Establish new and build existing relationships with retail and wholesale buyers
  • Optimize grower returns
