This high net growth company is currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented, full time Operations and Production Manager to take full charge all areas of our food manufacturing facility.  

We are looking for a true "Hands On" floor manager. Must be patient, passionate and energetic person with proven track record of excellence.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Oversees multiple-shift operations of the processing/production department.
  • Ensures adherence to all company standards regarding product quality and food safety practices working the Quality Assurance department.
  • Manages all Production personnel, to include training, development, and performance management of all supervisory and hourly employees.
  • Working with Human Resources to develop and maintain staffing levels required to support planned production.
  • Monitors raw material and packaging inventories to ensure adequate supply and freshness (rotation) to support production requirements.
  • Identifies opportunities for enhanced cost reduction, yield optimization, operational safety, and quality improvements.
  • Maintains a visible presence on the plant floor to monitor machine operations and provide technical guidance during all production and sanitation phases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in repacking and fresh cut production environment to include production management/supervisory roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of process controls, product flow, inventory control, quality assurance protocols, equipment optimization and supply chain management.
  • Ability to develop key manufacturing performance indicators and metrics and promote & communicate to management all critical production data
  • Strong process improvement background and change management skills.
  • Experience with production, procurement, and warehouse management enterprise software solutions.
  • Excellent experience in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Spanish and English fluency is preferred
  • Key Performance Indicators developing, monitoring and adjustments, i.e. Yields, PP/Man Hours, Labor Per Pound and Overall Cost Per Items
  • Knowledge of product costing, a plus
  • Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing, a plus
