Summary
  • Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Also provides hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Emphasis on directing and managing project development from beginning to end.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, changes, and conflicts and develop contingency plans.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project goals and milestones by developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, presentations, etc.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Recommend, build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades. 
  • Diagnose and correct computer systems issues.
  • Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and Internet service providers.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
  • Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security.
  • Trains users on software and equipment usage.
  • Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
  • Develops and communicates standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data.
  • Consults with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Researches and evaluates new technologies.
  • Installs and tests software upgrades.
  • Collects and analyzes network and memory utilization.
  • Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures.
  • Ability to get along and work effectively with others is required. 
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required. 
Education and/or Experience           
  • Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 
  • Driver’s License, proof of insurance.
  • Microsoft and Project Management Certifications helpful.
