Sales Representative - Northern California

Job Description: 

Our company is young and dynamic, but our team of professionals has more cumulative experience than distributors who have been in business for 50 years or more.

FreshKO Produce Services is a locally owned distribution company located in Fresno, CA. We specialize in the sourcing and distribution of over 625 fresh fruits, vegetables and related items to independent grocery stores, chains, retailers and restaurants throughout California, Oregon, Nevada and beyond.

We are currently looking for a Sales Representative – Northern California to join our team and work remotely.

As the Sales Representative – Northern California you will be responsible for establishing long term working relationships with customers and providing excellent customer service.  You will be primarily selling to major retailers, independent grocers, food service, and wholesalers.

This is a full-time position and you must be able to work on occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Requirements: 
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Seek to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets. 
  • Provide sales support and superior customer service to existing customers while also acquiring new clientele. 
  • Previous produce retail experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. 
  • Attendance -punctual –consistently at work and on time
  • Dependably –follows instructions responds well to direction
  • Strong customer service and marketing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and drive results.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Service existing accounts and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Successfully promote a customer-focused work ethic in tune with the company's core values and principles.
  • Effective account management including: profitable sales; customer service; price and volume management (market, ad/lid, and contracts, open); price and volume forecasting; reporting and performance review/monitoring.
  • Data entry of daily invoicing and reporting.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base.
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support.
  • Provide daily marketing support to establish and increase new customer accounts.
  • Identify and target new business development.
Skills: 
  • A positive, professional attitude with the ability to take initiative on processes outside of the defined job scope, including motivation to research and provide proactive solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems.
  • Excellent computer skills, able to work with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Email.
