Grimmway is looking to hire an Organic Harvesting Supervisor in Arvin, Ca.to supervise the harvesting department.

Position Reports to: 
Harvesting Manager
Compensation/Salary: 
DOE
Requirements: 

Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Need to be able to walk on even and uneven surfaces, sight, hearing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, stooping, climbing, reaching forward, reaching overhead and below the shoulder. Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Be able to travel to different fields.
  • Figure out loads per field and how many fields are being harvested.
  • Figure the quality tonnage.
  • Consult with growers.
  • Researches, plans, organizes, orders truck, and set-up for harvest.
  • Go over condition of fields for harvesting and deal with any related problems and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 
  • Must have five years experience in organic harvesting.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with all levels of employees.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot harvesting equipment.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Position requires seasonal travel and relocation.
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Supervisory or equivalent experience required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of company policies.
  • Must be bi-lingual, English and Spanish.
  • Must have clean driving record and pass drug/alcohol screening.
