Job Description: 
  • This person will be primarily focused on the West Coast. They'll be responsible for the profitable sale of chemicals and supportive services to existing customers, as well as expansion of business to new customers.
  • We want to be clear here, we are looking for a REAL salesperson in addition to having account management responsabilities. 
  • Ideally you would have some expereince in santitation chemicals and the production environment.
  • You will need to develop a solid understanding of product line, along with a knowledge of chemical use for food safety in the food industry, as well as non-food industries. We will train the right person.
  • This position conpensation structure includes a solid base salary and a generous commission rate. A self-motivated "go getter" will make a very good living!
  • Your role will include:
  • Cold calling. This is a sales job. You have to be ready, willing and able to "knock on doors" and build new friends and customers.
  • Partnering with customers to identify and implement solutions that advance efficiency.
  • Evaluate processes and procedures with customers to identify and implement solutions to advance plant safety and effectiveness.
  • When applicable, working with 3rd shift sanitation crews.
  • A willingness and ability to travel by car throughout territory, including some overnight stays.

Requirements: 
  • Trustworthy, loyal and high integrity
  • Bilinigual in English and Spanish is highly desireable. NOTE: Many of the decision makers that you'll be dealing with are bilingual, with Spanish as their first language.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food processing/manufacturing industry (Other industry experience may be acceptable)
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements for sanitation and employee training
  • Knowledge of the use of personal protective equipment when handling chemicals
  • Ability to work independently for long periods
  • Accountability for established goals and objectives
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (min look-back of 2 years)
Ideal Candidate: 
  • The ideal candidate speaks fluent Spanish. He/she has worked in the agricultural and food processing industry, within food safety, QA and/or sanitation. 
  • The ideal candidate is trustworthy, self-motivated, has the ability to learn as well as instruct/train, and is a great communicator. 
  • The ideal candidate knows how to sell, close sales and delight customers with great service.

 

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food processing/manufacturing industry (Other industry experience may be acceptable).
