Sales and Business Development Manager

Job Description: 

Founded in 2010, iFresh is a growing business in the Sacramento area that represents multiple growers and brands in Fresh Produce. We are currently seeking a Sales Manager who will handle sales throughout North America and internationally to join our growing team.

We’re looking for a candidate who has a passion for selling and is driven to succeed in the produce industry. The ideal candidate understands the importance of being a team player with our brands, brokers and internal team members.  Ideally, you will come to us with new and creative ideas about how to grow sales and develop new business opportunities.

It’s also important that you are a confident, authoritative communicator with strong presentation skills and people skills. The best candidates will have an outgoing, likable personality and will be energetic, professional multi-taskers who can solve problems creatively and quickly when necessary.

Requirements: 
  • 5+ years of experience with produce sales
  • Extensive knowledge of the produce industry, and retail produce at all levels
  • Working relationships with key accounts in produce
  • Working knowledge of category management
  • Innate understanding of the sales process
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts
  • Seek out and develop new customers
  • Develop and initiate broker sales force and internal sales
  • Support and motivate brokers to gain new distribution
  • Create “win-win” programs
  • Work with a high degree of collaboration within the team
  • 35% +/- Travel
  • Travel and Expense management and paperwork
  • Business reviews and opportunity analysis 
Skills: 
  • Computer literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent sales presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
