Job Description: 

Keith Connell Inc. is an established produce wholesale and distributor brokerage with 35 plus years of excellent quality and service.  We are currently located in Stilwell, Kansas and are in the process of expanding to further extend our services.

We're currently seeking an experienced Produce Broker in various locations.  Following an initial training period in our Stillwell, KS main offices, this position can be located in Nogales, AZ, Kansas City, MO, Dallas, TX or McAllen, TX.  This individual will be responsible for providing sales support and superior customer service to existing customers while also acquiring new clientele.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • New Business Development
  • Seeking to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets  
  • Maintaining complete and accurate records of all sales and customers 
  • Handling procurement from vendors
  • Manage logistics of produce shipping areas
  • Providing sales support and superior customer service to existing customers while also acquiring new clientele
  • Proactively creating opportunities for additional sales with new and existing customers
  • Sale to wholesale, retail, foodservice and retailers
  • Seek to improve sales revenue in line with established sales targets  
Skills: 
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical aptitude and administrative abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Qualifications: 
  • Prior produce experience in sales, 5+ years highly desirable  
  • PACA knowledge
  • Computer proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Critical thinker with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must be a self-starter and team player
  • Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Established customer base and large number of industry contacts is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems
  • Sound knowledge of proven sales processes. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of market conditions.
