Job Description:
Moonland Produce, Inc. (MPI) is currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Produce Sales Associate in Vernon, CA. MPI is a wholesale produce distributor that houses cold storage, ripening, repacking, net bagging and packaging services for fruits and vegetables.
The ideal candidate is looking for long-term growth, has a passion for the produce industry, and is excited and willing to lead the charge in growing our business. We are looking for someone who will provide exceptional customer service while building strong customer relationships with our current and new potential customers. Our commodities include but are not limited to: specialty produce, Asian produce and all varieties of fruits and vegetables.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Seek out and develop new customers, present products and acquire orders
- Conduct analysis of current services and product line and brainstorm new ideas for services/products
- Manage and grow our existing customer accounts. Accounts include: wholesale, retail and food service contracts
- Maintain sales targets
- Help implement and build a strong Sales Team to potential run long term
- Work both in house and on the road (up to a 40 mile radius from downtown LA)

Qualifications:
- Prior produce sales experience or prior experience working in any aspect of the produce industry (must be ready and willing to learn)
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Comfortable with making sound decisions and able to make quick problem solving decisions
