Value Added Sales Coordinator

Job Description: 

Naturipe® is a farmer-owned producer of healthy, good-for-you fresh berries grown by working family farmers. We are looking for a Value Added Sales Coordinator in Salinas, CA. This individual will provide sales coordination as well as phone and administrative support to the VA sales team. This work includes communicating with and coordinating orders/customer service with VA customers and suppliers, order management, assisting the VA team with reports, and serving as a source of support for VA business development.

 
Organizational Relationships

  • Direct Supervisor:       Senior Director/General Manager, RTE
  • Peers:                            Sales Coordinators, Product Coordinators
Compensation/Salary:

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Customer service of VA accounts, suppliers and logistical partners
  • Assists VA team in answering telephones, preparation of reports, documents, and memos, communication to various VA staff, and other activity as required.
  • Support VA orders and coordinates shipments and communicates with shippers/growers daily
  • Assess proper ordering information for key customers – review of sales data in SAP
  • Support VA customer communication, packaging issues and building product information sheets
  • Other duties as assigned

Quantitative Data/Job Dimensions:

  • Order entry – approximately 10,000 + orders per year
  • Order manifests -  approximately 10,000 + per year passings
  • Coordinates multiple areas of production and product tracking
Education: 
  •  College degree preferred. Associates (2 year) degree minimum.
Skills: 
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a cooperative team environment.
  • Ability to work in a professional, confident manner.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and make competent decisions independently.  
Qualifications: 
  • 5 years plus experience in office or produce environment. 
  • Intermediate or greater skills with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Word required.
  • SAP experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and phone etiquette.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Itrade and Foodlink experience a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
  • Knowledge of produce industry a plus
