We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Long Beach, CA.
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the warehouse. You will help develop and practice productivity and integrity standards. You will also create a positive and safe work environment for all employees.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years fresh produce warehouse experience.
- Familiarity and experience with a wide range of produce items.
- Must have working knowledge of the proper operation of warehouse equipment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not necessary.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and familiarity with Famous software or Produce Pro is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible with work schedule.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to lead a team.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Oversees order pullers, receivers, repacking, and general warehouse activities.
- Walks warehouse to help maintain cleanliness of warehouse, and ensures that general company and warehouse policies and procedures are followed.
- Oversees physical inventory and manages cold storage.
- Communicates with Sales and Dispatch to ensure orders are going out smoothly.
- Assists with Food Safety and Security standards of the business.
- Coordinates work schedules to ensure shifts are covered, and breaks and lunches are taken.
- Creates and maintains a positive working climate to promote employee morale and productivity.
