We are currently seeking a Regional Packhouse Manager in Marfa, Texas.
This individual will manage all aspects of the Packhouse operations and communications in West Texas. This includes, but not limited to, all grading, packing, inventory control of packaging materials, shipping and receiving as well as the Food/Health Safety programs. Acts as a laision by maintaining effective communication with Production, Sales and Quality Assurance.

| 30 | % | Manages the sorting, packing and labeling of all products produced in the West Texas Division (Marfa 1-2 and Fort Davis). All product must be packed with strict adherence to Food Safety policies and customer specifications. |
| 30 | % | Manages the staffing of all Packhouses and Shipping/Receiving operations. This includes ensuring staff training in the correct procedures/policies for their role and operational efficiency. |
| 10 | % | Manages the maintenance team that is responsible for the Packhouse equipment and ensures all required Preventative Maintenance (PM) is completed. |
| 10 | % | Manages all aspects of the Shipping and Receiving operations. |
| 10 | % | Partners with Finance to manage the purchasing process and inventory control for all packaging required in order to meet organizational and customer specifications. This includes communication with Sales and Marketing about any issue(s) that could result in packaging shortages/surpluses. |
| 10 | % | Works closely with the appropriate departments to ensure the Food/Health Safety programs are strictly followed and efficiently maintained. |
Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the followin g supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Assist in the evaluation of required changes in operations and equipment
- Work with Sales, Marketing and Production regarding new product innovation
- Evaluate quality issue(s) and provide viable solutions for the organization
Other Duties:
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Safety Requirements:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The Company will provide the required PPE. Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly to your Supervisor.
