Digging deeper is more than words—it’s our way of life.
We are a dedicated company that digs into the black earth to grow our gold—the food on your plate. It’s more than the quality of every single potato; it’s about always digging deeper whether we’re producing good food, giving back to the community or protecting our good earth.
A fourth generation, family-owned farming organization firmly planted in North Dakota’s Red River Valley more than 80 years ago, Black Gold Farms has evolved into a premier agricultural production, service and quality organization.
Our mission
Black Gold Farms provides high-quality, high-value agricultural production and service through a network of skilled individuals who pursue positive, mutually profitable long-term relationships with suppliers and customers.
It's all in the name: Black Gold Farms.
Our name Black Gold was adopted in 1965 when our family entered the registered Angus cattle business. “Black” symbolized both the fertile, truly deep ebony black soil deposited by Ice Age glaciers and the Black Angus hide. The “Gold” represented the golden potato skin and the potential value of the newly named company.
