OUR HISTORY
Dominic Caldara and John Wise founded GFC in 1990. From its humble beginnings - with just two delivery trucks and some rented cooler space - GFC has grown into a major force in the produce industry.
Get Fresh Companies operates out of a fully-secured, 140,000 square foot Certified SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing, cold storage distribution center, completed in 2008, which inventories and distributes over 4,000 line items of bulk and fresh cut fruits & vegetables. Beginning with cold chain management system at the fully sealed dock, the facility is equipped with 12 separate coolers, a 3,800 square foot freezer, 6 ripening rooms, a tomato processing repack operations, and a 28,000 square foot fresh cut processing facility, and an in-house food safety and quality assurance department. Get Fresh Companies facility is fully sustainable and is a green business certified operations.
The Get Fresh USDA Kitchen opened its doors on Dec 26, 2018. On staff, are two highly experienced chefs who oversee an industrial kitchen designed and equipped to satisfy the needs of our customers. There is a full staff of assembly line employees and a Meal Kit assembly line. The warehouse is a complete cold storage 28,000 square foot facility with a team of experienced Quality Assurance and Food Safety employees on hand.
The Get Fresh USDA Kitchen created 140 jobs in the Las Vegas market. Employees make fresh product to order for store shelves within 30 hours of taking orders. The facility is monitored by on sight USDA inspection 7 days a week. The Kitchen has many capabilities from frying, slicing, grilling, large batch capabilities, boiling, blanching, baking, steaming and MUCH more.
In the summer of 2020 Seafood HACCP was obtained, broadening capabilities to work with seafood products and to produce a safe product. The entire operation from receiving and storage to manufacturing and shipping is refrigerated to ensure shelf life and product integrity is upheld.

OUR OWNERS
Dominic Caldara - Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Under Mr. Caldara's leadership, GFC Companies was transformed from a small produce distributor to the market leader of perishable commodities and procurement solutions to major hotel and casino operators throughout Nevada and the southwest.
John Wise - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wise assists with direction and long-term strategy of the company, with special emphasis on procurement, and oversees the direction of the procurement staff.
Scott Goldberg - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Goldberg holds primary responsibility for all Finance and Accounting functions, as well as negotiating, approving, and executing contract terms related to truck leases, general liability, workers compensation, and health insurance.
