We are offering an amazing opportunity for a Senior Director of Operations to join our team in Sarasota, FL.
The Senior Director of Operations will be a proven leader who combines outstanding logistics skills with a leadership style that establishes trust, coaches and mentors the team. Responsible for daily operations including food acquisition, receiving, warehousing, transportation, distribution, compliance, facilities and metrics.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree and expert knowledge of principles of logistics and distribution.
- Extensive relevant work experience in food distribution/service, food banking or other system with dynamic inventory.
- Minimum five years warehouse-related experience.
- Solid understanding and experience in a food-grade distribution environment.
- Ten years progressive management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership; knowledge of management principles; ability to effectively coach and mentor in a team environment, collaborate and build relationships.
- Strong computer skills including warehouse management, inventory and logistics systems, PC, Microsoft office, report writing/query tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative problem-solver with strong organizational, analytical, planning and management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively execute with a diverse staff.
