We are a well-established, family oriented Specialty Produce Company based in Los Angeles, CA. seeking an experienced self-motivated sales coordinating and shipping professional to join our team. Our business is growing rapidly and we are in need of a highly motivated individual with an established work ethic, produce environment background, and a desire to flourish and grow with the company.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Sales/Shipping Coordinators contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of orders.
  • Handle orders by telephone, email or mail, and confirm accuracy of prices, discounts and product numbers, contacting customers to resolve any issues.
  • Input and ship orders to the company’s computer system and ensure that orders are processed with customers’ delivery requirements.
  • Book space with freight forwarders and inform customers of any delays and arrange alternative delivery dates.
  • Re-pack applications/verifications.
  • Contact customers and prospects to arrange appointments or make follow-up calls to confirm orders or delivery dates, and also act as a point of contact for urgent calls, emails and messages when Sales Representatives are not available.
  • Maintain sales records as a basis for reports to the senior management team.
  • Prepare reports on sales by individual representatives, sales by product line and sales to individual customers.
  • Organize and keep track of all paperwork relating to daily functions of office administration.
  • Knowledge of all office operations as needed.
  • Invoicing customers.
  • Managing and processing and reconciliation of AR/AP.
  • Ordering/purchasing supplies as needed.
  • Filing.
  • Place and receive calls as needed. Assist with collection calls on outstanding receivables.
  • Receipts and bank deposits. Deductions/customer credits as necessary.
  • Collect and review vendor food safety information
  • Help other personnel when appropriate – with a task that needs two, or with instructional information or location problems.
  • Support of the office and the rest of the team to accomplish department objectives in customer service, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills – English/Spanish.
  • Team Player.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Produce accounting/office experience preferred.
  • Functional ability of Windows Office and Produce Pro Software.
  • Itrade/Foodlink web based proprietary software skills a plus.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility as needed.
  • Ability to follow through on projects with minimal direction.
