Role Description:
The Field Representative will represent Berry People with the highest level of integrity and respect to growers and other supply chain stakeholders. This crucial role will monitor fruit quality in-field and provide continual improvement feedback to growers on Berry People Specification requirements. The Field Representative will inspect berry products upon arrival into Coolers and inform Berry People Sales team of condition of consignments via a quality reporting framework.
Duties:
Grower Relations:
- Manage relationships in the best interests of Berry People at all times
- Work proactively with Growers to ensure finished product meets Berry People specifications
- Monitor 3PL handling and distribution performance and report issues to VP Operations
- Provide support to VP Supply as required for Field tasks
- Assist with Inventory reporting to be completed as per company requirements at 3PL
- Provide support to VP Operations as required
Quality Framework:
- Ensure a detailed understanding of Berry People specifications in order to provide detailed Quality reports
- Inspect consignments of fruit as they arrive to 3PL Coolers with precision and efficiency to ensure no delays in distribution
- Provide Quality reports to Supply and Sales team in order to make prompt commercial decisions
- Provide direct constructive feedback to growers on Quality reports as directed by VP Supply
- Execute Inventory Reporting at 3PLs as required by Berry People
- Ensure a high level of accuracy
- Assist in solving Inventory issues as they arise in a timely fashion
