Job Description:

We now have an opportunity for a Caneberry Production Supervisor to join our team in Santa Maria, CA and other growing locations.

Under the guidance of the Caneberry Manager you will be responsible for scheduling and oversight of all Caneberry production related activities. All crop management labor including, hoop management, weeding, watering roads, spray applications, and all other crop management activities
Supervise all operations of the Maintenance Foreman including execution of bed up activities, as well as activities leading up to bed up for each cycle. Ensure efficient and effective installation of all ranches irrigation installation, fumigation, hoop installation and trellis installation.

Supervision of the planting process from start to finish which includes daily plant orders, ensuring high planting quality, oversee pesticide wash and collecting all nursery code maps.

Ensure new hires have completed all necessary paperwork and compliance training prior to start of work and understand and utilize Pet Tiger Capabilities to enhance efficiencies. Working with the department supervisor to maintain a safe and compliant work environment

  • Work with harvest Supervisor on all berry analytics, and plan development
    • Establish, track, and meet budget on:
      • Planting location timing and varieties
      • Labor Tracking (production and harvesting)
        • Develop and review efficiency Reports
      • Input Costs
      • Yield evaluation
      • Estimate accuracy
      • Evaluation of growing practices

Physical Requirements

The essential physical requirements for this position are:

  • Employee must have the ability to walk, talk, hear, see, speak, concentrate, reach in all directions, stoop, bend, lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Use a computer, telephone and other equipment needed for the position
