Job Description: 

In this role you will be responsible for the evaluation, design, and implementation of processes and procedures that will increase efficiencies, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability. 

Position Reports to: 
Director of Cooler Operations
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Assess processes and interpret data
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve quality of output
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Create policies or procedures for logistics activities (Receiving, Cooling, Cold Room Storage, Shipping)
  • Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding logistics strategies
  • Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs
  • Recommend purchase of new or improved technology such as automated systems
  • Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with processes , such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers
  • Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or 5 years plus experience in similar role or capacity
  • Proven work experience in process engineering
  • Excellent technical skills (Computer, Spreadsheet Aptitude
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate positively with all departments and personnel
  • Willing and able to take on projects
  • English and Spanish-Bilingual

Physical Requirements: (The essential physical requirements for this position are):

  • Employee must have the ability to walk, talk, hear, see, speak, concentrate, reach in all directions, stoop, bend, lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Use a computer, telephone and other equipment needed for the position
