Job Description:
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for inventory and purchase order management of packaging materials relative to Sales demand plans. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day supply levels to our growing operations and work as a liaison between our packaging vendors and our supply chain warehouses, as well as strategic decision-making in managing the replenishment of packaging to all growing regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for timely planning of packaging replenishment to our supply chain warehouses

Release and manage PO’s for replenishing packaging supplies for California Giant’s growing regions

Manage inventory daily and ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels

Process daily packaging issues for multiple locations

Communicate with Suppliers and cultivate positive supplier relations

Track PO status daily by monitoring scheduled deliveries

Manage inventory levels for multiple locations and initiate inventory transfers between locations

Manage pooled supply chain vendors like CHEP – process PO’s, reconcile weekly inventories, report usage and manage annual audit processes.

Analyze month-end inventory levels for variances, determine root cause, and make corrections

Set-up and cultivate open channels of communication with each warehouse

Manage vendor price changes in our ERP system

A/P coding for supplies

Manage and Issue PO’s for all Logistics Supplies needed throughout our growing regions (temp recorders, pallet stickers, CO2, misc labels, etc)

Manage replenishment tool by analyzing daily usage vs demand of packaging materials

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma
-
3 – 5 years’ experience in supply chain procurement / purchasing

Knowledge of supply chain practices and impact to the business

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work through work related issues that arise.

Analytical skills to obtain data and present conclusions through different tools

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and ERP (Famous)

Detail-oriented

Ability to navigate and negotiate with suppliers to meet business objectives
- Experience in accounting and produce

Bilingual and Biliterate in Spanish

APICS certificate
