We only buy the finest raw produce from the industry’s most respected grower shippers, then repack them into value added, consumer packs. All of these products are produced in our PrimusGFS inspected, food safety certified facility in Cincinnati, OH.
We currently seek a seasoned Produce Buyer who will work in conjunction with and under the general direction of the Vice President, Produce strategically planning, purchasing, and managing interactions with the produce industry’s most esteemed grower/shippers, vendors and other suppliers.
The person we’re looking for has:
- Bachelor’s degree in relative field of study or equivalent related experience
- 2-4 years progressively responsible produce experience in a materials management function including “hands-on” experience with computerized inventory systems
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Highly organized with proven ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
