Job Description: 
We’re looking to expand this organizations sales team with a passionate and experienced Account Management (Produce Sales) professional. This inspirational, innovative and respected produce company specializes in the marketing and distribution of fresh produce from around the world to retail, food service and wholesale customers. They are looking to bring an organized, motivated, team player to their team. This person will coordinate and execute their sales program, managing a variety of product commodities at any given time. They will also be supporting large national retail accounts, as well as food service and wholesale customers. 

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Meet and exceed established inside sales and margin goals for designated territory
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Collaborate with marketing, warehouse, business development, procurement and supply chain to develop and implement sales programs and business plans
  • Interact and collaborate with other departments regarding sourcing, logistics, packaging and other related items in order to service clients
  • Develop and maintain positive long-term client relationships by up-selling and cross-selling
  • Maintain consistent client contact using the company’s CRM program to keep sales team updated
  • Manage client expectations and program needs and resolve client conflict
  • Assist with logistics (air, truck and rail), as necessary
  • Occasional travel to conduct sales calls, industry trade shows/events, and grower visits
  • Go above and beyond with any other duties assigned and/or required
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years inside sales (FOB) experience in the produce industry
  • Fresh produce sales experience is a must
  • Experience working with large national retail customers/decision makers
  • East coast customer sales experience is ideal
  • Passionate about produce sales and the customer experience
  • Organized, dependable, self-motivated, professional person with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and comfortable using and learning new applications
  • Marketing and/or Merchandising experience is a plus
