Job Description:
A well-established company located in the Lehigh Valley, PA is searching for a full-time Experienced Produce Buyer who is interested in learning about produce buying which includes maintaining adequate stock and quality levels; maintain vendor compliance with regards to product specifications, food safety, service level and cost.
Produce commodities are volatile; therefore, candidate must be analytical, able to work under high amounts of pressure, and enjoy finding the best strategy to efficiently manage their portion of the supply chain.

Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Mathematics, Business Management, Economics or Engineering
- Experience in produce or food service procurement, a plus
- General understanding of produce, distribution and warehousing procedures preferred
- Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and initiative
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Must properly handle confidential information
- Proficient computer skills
