Strong, successful West Michigan based Produce Packing Facility is seeking a self-motivated individual who will further develop the Sales aspect of our growing business. The qualified individual will be an enthusiastic and outgoing individual with the ability to multi-task. The ideal candidate should also be a team-player who shares our company values - relationship building, respectful, collaborative, customer first, results-oriented, willingness to roll up their sleeves, learn by doing, team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with management, and other departments, to develop and execute strategies to grow annual sales.
- Develop new and profitable relationships with prospective customers.
- Able to handle product issues and resolve conflicts with customers.
- Wear “multiple hats” as the company grows.
- Periodic travel outside the office to conduct sales calls and/or represent the Company at industry trade shows/events.
- Reports directly to the President/Owner and works closely with the Sales Manager.
Key Requirements/Skills:
- Strong produce sales experience with a minimum 3-5 years in a similar position.
- Knowledgeable and comfortable using a computer including Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Dependable and reliable work ethic with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment where time management is critical.
- Strong organizational skills as well as a superior attention to detail.
