We have an immediate opening for a Manager of Procurement to join our team in our Oklahoma headquarters.

As a Manager of Procurement, you will be a part of a dynamic and fast-paced company built on the principle that hard work and smart thinking lead to success. Produce buying is the core of our operations and in this role, you will have the ability to make a significant impact.

Requirements: 
  • Demonstrated history of successfully managing Produce procurement/purchasing/buying.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage employees.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools.
  • Experience with Produce Pro Software.
  • Experience with analytics applications.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as FSMA, PACA, USDA.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Work closely with vendors to identify sales opportunities, negotiate prices and delivery terms, and market products directly to retailers or through sales representatives.
  • Monitor inventory levels, reorder at optimum time and price, develop promotional programs, and work closely with sales representatives to maximize sales.
  • Make an impact on the buying process through negotiation and relationship building. Bring a big picture focus to the department through reports and metrics tied to Profit & Losses (P&L) and Sales Trends.
  • Supervise the procurement department.
  • Establish, Develop, and Maintain relationships with the very best growers & shippers in the business.
  • Network and cultivate relationships. 
  • Identify and build relationships with new vendors to continue to deliver new opportunities at the right price in the right place at the right time.
  • Bring a focus on optimal pricing and service.
  • Manage inventory levels, review movement and set pricing.
  • Show a strong background in the produce industry including production, distribution, seasonal availability, and trends.
  • Bring a knowledge of logistics and freight channels.
  • Research and introduce new items to sales staff.
