Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Responsible for marketing product and developing relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Prospect and secure new customers in the retail, wholesale, brokerage and foodservice channels.
  • Develop target customers including strategies and goals.
  • Work closely with the production and shipping team to keep up to date on inventory levels, quality and delivery schedules.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order or shipping process.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers to keep them informed of product availability, quality and price.
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base.
  • Run and review customer sales and price performance reports using the Famous system.
  • Maintain relevant customer data in customer relationship management program.
  • Plan and execute a travel schedule for visiting key customers to conduct in-person business reviews, to sell-in product line extensions, and to strengthen relationships.
  • Work with the highest level of integrity and promote a positive company image inside and outside the organization.
  • Attend industry and customer specific trade shows, conferences, and events to meet with prospect customers.
  • A self-starter and positive team player with a produce sales background who has the passion and determination to work hard and meet or exceed goals.
  • Unwavering integrity, professionalism, and business ethics.
  • Able to keep abreast of market conditions, competitor’s products and pricing and make adjustments based on changing market conditions.
  • Able to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key customers.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a confident, decisive manner.
  • Computer savvy proficiency in Word, Excel and Famous Software (or similar program).
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
