Requirements:
- Good geographical understanding of Retail & Foodservice locations
- Experience with Famous Software / Foodlink / I Trade Network / EDI a plus
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications
- Must have strong professional communication skills
- Must have strong problem solving skills
- Must maintain professionalism and provide a positive company image
- Previous Perishable or Produce sales experience is strongly preferred
- Must be detail oriented and willing to work in a fast paced environment
- Four year college degree or suitable industry experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Make contact with quality customers to initiate sales and grow the business
- Responsible for sales, retention and growth of company assigned customers
- Receive and confirm purchase orders via e-mail, by phone or on an electronic trading platform
- Handle customer claims & collections
- High volume customer calling is a must for this position
- Required to travel domestically to meet with customers and where needed attend food shows
