Located in a suburb west of Portland, Oregon, we have been a supplier of fresh and frozen berries to the U.S. for over 70 years and an exporter of berries into Japan and other parts of Asia for over 30 years. Requirements: 
  • 3 years’ customer service/account management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with Business or Agricultural focus, or equivalent experience. 
  • Highly organized with strong relationship-building skills, coordination, and follow through.
  • Strong communication skills including outstanding writing and phone skills.
  • Must be willing to work long hours April through September each year with generous flextime October through March. 
  • Basic Excel skills. 
  • Experience/exposure in the Freight Forwarding and/or shipping for export industry a plus.
  • Experience/exposure in the Fruit industry or Perishables industry a plus.
  • Speak and understand Vietnamese, Korean, and/or Japanese a plus.
  • Willing to travel overseas once a year and attend annual industry conferences. 
  • Experience/exposure in family-owned and/or small business climate.
  • Professional, dependable, principled, and honest with a strong and diligent work ethic.
  • Collaborative team player willing to learn and go “above and beyond.”
  • Must pass background and reference check.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Accountable for deadline-driven execution of pre-sales support throughout the sales cycle, including development and implementation of sales strategies.
  • Work directly with customers on programs and volumes, ensuring each receives orders, paperwork, and all accompanying paperwork for shipments. 
  • Be available to receive orders and troubleshoot problems with shipments/orders 24/7 during harvest season (April through September.) 
  • Establish pricing. 
  • Order all materials. 
  • Coordinate all shipments. Oversee packing, quality, and labeling to ensure suitability for each specific customer.
  • Understand international markets purchasing and quality standards for each destination and each specific customer. Be familiar with each country’s culture. 
  • Have or be willing to have a strong knowledge of blueberries – varieties, growing specifics, picking differences, storage environments, etc. 
  • Build strong relationships with freight forwarders. 
  • Travel overseas once a year (generally in April) and attend annual industry conferences.
