The Manager of FP&A will report directly to the CFO and ownership and help facilitate the thoughtful development of their business by diving into the financials and creating processes that will ensure accurate and insightful budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis for the leadership team. This individual will  drive the use of technology to support the team with data driven analysis to measure performance and metrics for yield reports, labor efficiency, pricing, commodity trends, and more.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Manage the Annual budget and strategic planning process and monthly financial statement projections, including budget vs. actual reports, making recommendations to management.
  • Prepare analysis to support the development of financial guidelines and implementation of financial planning schedules and procedures at all levels of the Company.
  • Develop processes to improve business efficiencies.
  • Create SOPs to document and provide guidance and improvement of new and existing processes. 
  • Evaluate and develop purchasing/tracking programs for harvest and packing supplies. 
  • Develop financial models and tools to measure and facilitate decision making, including weekly financial dashboard, monthly performance metrics and weekly/monthly revenue and expense analysis and commentary.
  • Develop enterprise profitability model and weekly dashboard to measure performance for farming and harvest operations, processing, and the consolidation/cross dock/cooling facility.
  • Support management with data-driven analysis. ad-hoc business performance reporting and metrics including yield reports, labor efficiency, pricing models, break evens and rolling 52-week commodity trends.
  • Provide analysis and justifications of capital expenditures working closely with business managers through conception to completion of projects. 
  • Develop and implement a Crisis Management Plan and training in collaboration with Food Safety and Human Resources that includes facilitation of emergency response, business continuity, IT disaster recovery, and product recall.
  • Manage and facilitate seasonal operations including sales, production, harvest planning schedules and demand planning.
  • Develop 4-week planting forecast reports.
  • Act as the IT Liaison with 3rd party IT consultants and other technology service providers and manage the selection, design and implementation of financial and other IT applications.
  • Other Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance or accounting (MBA preferred).
  • 7 to 10 years work experience (with a heavy concentration in Agribusiness) in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting/forecasting, and/or public accounting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced unstructured environment. 
  • Expert in financial reporting and analysis including balance sheets, profit and loss, return on asset and investment, metrics and measurements, etc. 
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Famous, report writing and business intelligence tools.
  • Must be able to maintain a valid CA Driver's License with the ability to be insured under company sponsored liability coverage.
  • Some travel may be required.
