Job Description: 

We are a vertically integrated family owned and operated company that produces a full line of fresh vegetables year-round with an in-house farming/harvest program and state-of-the-art processing plant. We are a grower-owned processor, farming the majority of our raw product ourselves, adhering to industry-leading food safety and quality standards. We have an immediate opening for a Regional Business Manager (Fresh Produce) to join our team in California. The focus will be on the company’s foodservice business.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Corporate headquarter calls and collaboration on growth strategies 
  • Focus on strategies to fill distribution voids within customer network, and across company product portfolio 
  • Support customer in the field via sales training, event support, promotional opportunities 
  • Responsible for regional business plans with specific objectives 
  • Work with sales leadership to execute strategies for targeted growth, market share and profitability improvement 
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity to build and adapt appropriate sales strategy relevant to your territory 
  • Provide feedback regarding customer dynamics affecting growth 
  • Examine and analyze data to forecast future market opportunities 
  • Develop and maintain quarterly and annual forecasts 
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key industry partners and customers 
  • Spearhead new product launches with specific customers 
  • Develop and maintain product line expertise 
  • Perform financial analyses and evaluation of projects 
  • Attend industry events as representative of company 
Education: 
  • Minimum 10+ years of related experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Ag. Business, Agronomy, Ag. Engineering, Economics, or related field 
  • Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record 
Skills: 
  • Solid understanding of region market and business practices 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to interact with other professionals to gather and disseminate information 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle customer product questions and objections 
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to think strategically and to contribute in a team environment 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other computer software programs as needed
