Job Description: 
A leading multi-national fresh produce company is looking for an experienced citrus Sr. Sales Representative/Leader with a depth of knowledge in sales strategy, execution, and product management. The ideal candidate will have existing purchasing relationships and a solid customer base in retail and food service customers as well as the ability to build new accounts, both for program and spot business. This role will ideally be located in the San Joaquin Valley area of California.
  
The Role
This role is a great fit for a motivated and experienced professional with a passion for produce and solid skills in strategic deal planning and management, interfacing with grower partners, building sales strategies through multiple channels, and tactical daily sales execution to maximize sales revenue and build accounts. The role requires a customer service focused individual who can build and maintain effective working relationships in a rapidly changing, high-pressure environment. Responsibilities will include:
  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map out sales strategies, maximize company and grower returns and establish relationships with customers to achieve goals.
  • Aggressively build and maintain a customer base for assigned products/deals. Sell products and services in accordance with established sales target/margins.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and potential solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations, including contracting program sales and identifying spot business trading.
  • Implement, monitor, and achieve sales goals, strategies, programs, and plans, adapting approach as needed in response to market conditions.
  • Collaborate with team members to expedite sales commitments, resolve pricing issues, and related customer billing in accordance with established policies and procedures in a timely manner.
  • Maintain sales and customer data in the company ERP and continuously evaluate results. Advise leadership and partners on sales status and potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Manage assigned products, key accounts, or categories in accordance with company policies and practice.
  • Consult with internal departments to maintain awareness of product condition and status and collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Participate in promoting a customer-focused, cooperative, team-oriented work environment in alignment with the company’s values.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in produce sales and marketing with a focus in the citrus category.
  • A results-focused individual with tenacity, resourcefulness, and resilience. The ability to evaluate the environment and adapt quickly to market and product changes.
  • A proactive and organized individual who can work independently, make appropriate decisions, and liaise with multiple stakeholders. Detail-oriented and flexible.
  • Excellent communicator: professional, concise, and positively focused. Demonstrates incredible follow-up and collaborative skills.
  • Team player with the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally. Remains composed and solutions-focused in the face of adversity.
  • Degree in business with a focus in sales, marketing, or agri-business.
