We are a reputable and sustainable, family-owned grower and shipper of fresh tropical fruits seeking to grow our US sales/operations team in the west. We are a lean entrepreneurial team seeking to add this new role for an experienced home-based produce salesperson who likes the challenge of managing not only the sale, but all the details to fulfill our customer's orders. The person we are seeking should be enthusiastic about produce and growing our business in the West and beyond. We are seeking someone to sell, as well to bring their positive, analytic business acumen to help us continue to grow our business. This is a unique opportunity for a creative and collaborative team-player to grow their career in all aspects of the sales supply chain of fresh tropical fruit.
Successful candidates should have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of sales and/or operational experience
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Self-starter who is eager to creatively solve problems and jump into the details
- Confident team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Spanish is a plus
- Experience calling on regional and national chains
- Experience with imports of fresh produce
- Experience with inland logistics and supply-chain
- Inventory management experience
- Prior P&L management experience a plus
- Experience in importing and delivering fresh tropical fruit a plus
