Sales Account Manager - Mangoes #5184S

We are one of the largest grower-shippers of Mangoes in Mexico. As a well-established, family -owned company we are expanding our direct sales throughout North America. With that in mind, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced, passionate Mango Sales Account Manager with integrity and drive.

This seasoned FOB Sales Account Manager, will apply their mango expertise to foster existing customer relationships, build and develop new customer opportunities increasing volume and profit.  Not only does this person need to be an experienced mango “guru” but must share in our commitment to relationship and business integrity, protecting our reputation in the industry.  
This is a remote position, therefore requires organization and flexibility with a focus on increasing retail product revenue developing and enhancing relationships with existing and new partners and customers.

  • Minimum 10 years produce sales experience, including 5 years mango sales experience
  • Mango sales experience is critical
  • Established track record for business account development
  • Experience with sales to large retail chains
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and decision making
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work odd hours as necessary to communicate with customers and team members in different time zones
  • Understanding of price and impact on profitability in retail accounts is critical
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Integrity and positive reputation in the industry

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Communicate with customers daily
  • Business Development: new and current accounts
  • Proactively create additional sales with new and existing customers, without overcommitting
  • Provide superior customer service to new and existing customers
  • Track and analyze customer sales history and purchasing trends
  • Identify and strategically pursue industry trends in fast-growing segments
  • Handling procurement from vendors
  • Consistent communication with growers
  • Attend industry and customer specific trade shows, conferences, and meetings with prospective and existing customers
  • Monitors marketplace information on pricing, product quality, demand, supply, and delivery schedules
  • Resolve customers’ complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Communicate with our transportation vendors to arrange for delivery of our product to customers
  • Responsible for purchase order creation
  • Works with accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies
