Job Description: 

Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Execution of the daily/weekly production scheduling for the growing operation while communicating with the owners and management team members
  • Ensure proper implementation and enforcement of company policies and procedures, including applicable Wage & Hour rules and company’s Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy. Coordinate with the Safety Department through safety programs/procedures to safeguard the health and safety of employees and property.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance Department to implement and enforce food safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate and manage all materials, pesticides, seed, personnel and plant equipment for the operations in Arizona and California.
  • Oversight of staffing needs to satisfy safe and efficient operation in accordance with finished product specifications and Food Safety Program.
  • Monitor product flows and directs adjustments for efficient operation.
  • Record and analyze all production data as required.
  • Review all labor and general production costs and evaluate for savings.
  • Train and instruct all subordinates.
  • Work closely with Harvesting Manager, HR Director and Equipment Manager to ensure all personnel issues, transportation is properly executed.
  • Coordinate overall planting, irrigation, and pesticide application schedules and maintain company representation of landlords.


  • B.S. in Horticulture or Agribusiness is required.
  • Must have 3-5 years of work experience in operating a farm.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methods and ability to initiate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • PCA license preferred.
  • Need to be a good listener with effective decision-making skills and the ability to interact effectively and objectively with different departments.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to analyze and present data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Must have good computer and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to research, analyze, and implement new on-farm technologies.
