Eastside Packing, Inc. is an independent citrus packing, cold storage, and shipping facility in Reedley, California. We are a family owned operation with roots going back over 100 years and four generations in the farming, packing, and sales of fresh fruits. We are currently in a growth trajectory expanding our current packing operations of mandarin and lemon varieties to all types of citrus.
We have two immediate openings for Sizer Operators (one for day shift, the other for swing) in our Reedley, CA facility.
The Sizer Operator is responsible for ensure proper operation of the optic sizer equipment, being the first response to breakdowns, fruit flow and quality. Communication is a key part of this role working closely with the floor supervisors, line managers, bin dump operators and forklift drivers to ensure the smooth running of the team and fruit while meeting compliance requirements and operational goals. The position must adhere to and reinforce Health and Safety and Food Safety policies.
We’re looking for people who have Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a packing house environment with knowledge of sizer operational tasks. Citrus experience preferred. Knowledge of grades, sizes, defects, packing requirements and procedures. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. Must have a demonstrated history of excellent oral communication skills, and proficiency with computers, process programs and related software, specifically, Word, Excel.
