Job Description: 

Fruit World is a young produce sales company with generations of history. We specialize in growing and shipping organic and conventional citrus, and organic stone fruit, grapes and more, focusing on high flavor and unparalleled customer service. Fruit World has been thoughtfully growing and we are excited to have an opening for our first Field Operations Representative.

The Field Operations Representative will work on the day-to-day field and packing operations under the guidance of the Director of Supply Chain. The role helps to ensure brand quality is maintained at all levels of the supply chain and the sales team has up-to-date information, ensuring our customers are getting the highest level of service, and Fruit World is achieving our long-term supply goals. The role will expand to include handling some sales accounts. Fruit World is a small and nimble team, each wearing multiple hats, so there will be lots of interaction with the entire team. 

In this position, among other duties you will develop and maintain positive relationships with Fruit World’s growers and packing house partners, learn the process to provide annual/season volume and quality projections for the sales team, and begin to take over projections. You will monitor quality of product in field and storage, and communicate to appropriate parties. Identify and escalate potential issues. Research any customer complaints and provide timely feedback and/or suggested corrections to appropriate parties.

Requires daily routine travel within proximity to the Reedley office, with occasional overnight trips to our partner packing houses in Fillmore and Brawley. During stone fruit season, some day trips to the Lodi area will be required. Responsibilities will also include managing some sales accounts/relationships

The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of agriculture experience or equivalent education.  Field operations or agricultural operations experience is desirable. They will have transferable skills in developing and implementing procedures and systems, coupled with a passion for quality. Interest in organic production required. 

Must have a demonstrated history of excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers and related software (Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc). Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English), but not required. Ability to travel within California and a valid current drivers license and an ongoing satisfactory driving record required.
