We have an immediate opportunity for an Onion Sales Director to join our team in Vidalia, GA.

As the Onion Sales Director, you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales and marketing activities, establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base, maximizing both present and long-term sales and profits.  You will lead sales by opening or growing select direct accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce sales and account management to existing and new customers including daily, program, and contact accounts.
  • Manage daily customer communication to provide superior customer service
  • Sales Planning & Market Forecasting
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with internal teams such as Production, Shipping, Logistics and Accounting to ensure successful customer service to your accounts.
  • AR managements
  • Travel which includes Customer visits, industry functions
  • Negotiate FOB and Delivered Sales pricing.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed company sales goals and profitability.
  • Develop and achieve aggressive sales budgets maximizing the highest and best use of current capacity.
  • Build high-value sales team to maximize total value in each production region.
  • Work with customers and production teams to discover and develop new and value-added products.
  • Secure credit information to open new accounts and update existing ones.
  • Lead AR efforts and build a superb customer experience from start to finish
  • Build effective communication with Operations, Sales, and
  • Customers in order to provide training and development for the improvement of sales and customer service
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Customer Service and Operational staff.
  • Provide insightful ongoing feedback to senior management and peers regarding performance risks and opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows that will be informative or otherwise
  • Analyze sales data to track and improve current and future use.
  • Analyze profitability reports and work with production teams to maximize profitability and grow best customer products
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years fresh produce sales experience.
  • Two years in management experience.
  • Graduate degree in Agriculture or Business (BA, BS) in related fields of study preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Famous Software, Retail Link, I-trade and or Foodlink.
  • Strong sense of urgency and excellent customer service skills.
  • Growth and Sales oriented.
  • Category Management Experience.
  • Must have current driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Able to maintain 50% travel.
