Job Description:
The Director of Procurement will set the strategy for logistics, planning, and purchasing to ensure consistency, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency of the procurement process.
The Director will set purchasing policies, manage inventory, set the goals for the department, and continuously review stock requirements.

Overseeing the hiring and training of personnel

Maintaining knowledge of the market and current market prices

Negotiating favorable supplier agreement

Build strong on-going partnerships with vendor community

Communicate and negotiate with key suppliers for product categories, creating cost advantages through aggregation and scale

Analyze and monitor market conditions to identify opportunity to improve costs, risk management, and negotiations

Create purchasing benchmarks and monitor performance to meet or exceed KPI objectives

Execute supplier performance reviews

Supervising the purchasing team and delegating task across the department
Director of Procurement Requirements:

Education/Training: 4 year college degree, or equivalent experience, required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement (preferably in produce category)

Category Management experience, including vendor management and pricing preferred.
