Opportunity to execute and improve the following areas:
  • In this role the successful candidate will become a key transportation leader contributing to strategy, planning, and business performance management for Indianapolis Fruit Company and IFCO Transport.
  • Efficiently collaborate with the executive team and Human Resources in developing and executing strategic business plans to build and maintain a strategic driver structure.
  • Maintain organized, staff developmental, disciplinary, and training records in coordination Human Resources and General Counsel.
  • Efficiently collaborate with Risk Management to plan, implement, and monitor safety driving programs, practices, and policies.
  • Accurately coordinate fleet rental needs and service/maintenance agreements in collaboration with the VP of Transportation and the order control department.
  • Oversee the hiring, developing, and performance management of fleet management team members.
  • Successfully build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners, fostering a culture of unprecedented customer service, proper cost to serve, and maximum profitability.

Competencies, Education, and Skills to be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area of study preferred
  • Recent and successful experience in a manufacturing or distribution operation
  • Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to partner and support business leaders in decision support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
