Job Description: 

The Research and Sourcing Specialist (RSS) will work with the Professional Executive Search team developing candidate pipelines for professional level requisitions/searches. The RSS will conduct competitive research to identify potential candidates working in industry, function and/or competitors in support of recruiting efforts. 

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Develop sourcing strategies for new job orders in collaboration or on behalf of recruiters/leaders.
  • Conduct Internet, job posting, and resume database searches for active and/or passive candidates.
  • Conduct competitive research to determine talent in industry at companies and be cognizant of candidates who are receiving awards and/or public recognition.
  • Oversees requests for job orders and review for accuracy. Obtain appropriate approvals and enter them into the ATS.
  • Post job orders either directly or through partnership with the job marketing team.
  • Recruit, screen and/or schedule candidates for interviews
  • Conduct detailed pre-screens, screens and reference checks on candidates.
  • Create and maintain a pipeline of candidates with industry and relevant experience for all levels within the industry and related positions and/or industries.
  • Proactively sell opportunities to candidates while assisting in the recruitment process.
  • Research the talent market and generate new strategies to attract top tier passive candidates.
  • Generate a solid pipeline of pre-qualified and engaged candidates who are eager and enthusiastic about our opportunities.
  • Track and report best sourcing strategies for attracting both passive and active candidate channels.
  • Advocate and practice a candidate centric approach to recruiting top talent that will generate candidate referrals
  • Write and post new positions to various job boards and write print ads as needed.
  • Provide candidate recommendations to recruiter for client submission.
  • Assist recruiter with any administrative tasks as necessary
  • Strategize with the team and find creative ways to build mature talent pipelines, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns. 
Requirements: 
  • A "Can do, get it done" attitude
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a self-driven, researcher/sourcer or recruiter with startup and/or agency experience looking to make a big impact in a growing company.
  • Experienced with LinkedIn and other social media
  • The ability to talk about our product and explain our business, company culture and perks/benefits.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying candidates under tight deadlines and ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
  • Resourceful and able to solve difficult research or sourcing challenges within an organization.
  • Eager to learn new technologies that support business needs.
  • Strong ability and background in Internet research.
  • Demonstrated skills in advanced research techniques via social media and Internet sourcing is required. 
  • Computer savvy and passionate about social media and networking.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency while maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Hands-on experience and/or aptitude with MS Office, Applicant Tracking System and internet research.
  • 1+ year of Administrative experience and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and small office environment 
Education: 
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in recruiting and/or research experience  
Skills: 
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to interact at varying management levels/client/candidate interface.
  • Strong organization, sales/negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency while maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (clear, concise and articulate).
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Should have experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and Boolean Searches, such as with LinkedIn and ATS systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
  • Excellent database searching skills.
