Liberty Fruit Company Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Sales Representative for retail grocery supermarkets. These positions will be based in the Des Moines, IA and Springfield, MO market areas. The successful candidate will focus on driving sales with retail grocery stores in our market area. This individual must be a self-starter with high energy and desire to succeed.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
- Previous experience in retail produce sales, produce procurement, or produce merchandising in a retail sector is preferred.
- A vast knowledge of the fresh produce industry is needed to be successful in this role.
- The successful candidate must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and support staff.
- This position will be required to make cold-calls and be able to overcome objections and rejections in the sales process.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must for this position.
- Ability and willingness to travel. Some overnight trips may be required.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and social media.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently without direct supervision.
