Job Description: 

We’re an energetic, entrepreneurial company looking for a passionate and energetic Field Sales & Merchandiser to join our growing organization. Living Greens Farm is a rapidly growing indoor farming company that utilizes a proprietary, disruptive aeroponic growing system to grow the highest quality greens indoors. Our process utilizes 98% less land, 95% less water, and 95% less shipping resources than conventionally farmed produce.

We are based in Faribault, MN and deliver our products within an 8-hour drive, ensuring the freshest local greens available. Our products include bagged salad kits and bagged salad greens, basil, microgreens, and live butterheads and romaine leaves. All our produce is certified non-GMO and pesticide-free.   

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated Field Sales Manager to grow and support Living Greens Farm’s presence in the greater Twin Cities market. In this position, you will be responsible for owning merchandising, increasing sales, and developing top-notch relationships with current and future retail partners within the territory. You will also help grow brand awareness through in store activation including gaining secondary locations, putting up brand POS and merchandising materials, selling in/building displays, and organizing/executing tasting events.

Your duties will include working at store level to apply merchandising standards, adherence to our promotional schedule, and building relationships with distributor and retail partners.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, proactive, and independent self-starter, an excellent communicator, and creative problem solver who works well in a fast paced start up environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute daily store routes and sales goals to optimize effective account visits across the given territory
  • Develop expert knowledge and understanding of all LGF products and be able to clearly communicate the brand’s values and products to retail customers and consumers
  • Develop and grow store level relationships with retail and distributor partners to meet Sales Team KPIs
  • Ability to sell into a variety of retailers, including natural, conventional, and foodservice
  • Ensure best set merchandising standards at every store you visit
  • Execute all distributor, chain, and store level promotions
  • Secure secondary displays for Living Greens Farms products, specifically while on promotion
  • Complete daily account reports for each store and weekly/monthly recaps of activation activities
  • Close out of stocks and increase flavor mix and number of facings when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an area sales / field sales role or store team lead position
  • Merchandising experience in the produce section

Other:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Extremely knowledgeable of in-store level merchandising and selling
  • Outstanding integrity, solid judgment, and ability to make important decisions independently
  • Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
  • Self-starter who has a demonstrated track record and ability to drive their own performance and work independently
  • Excellent time management and organizing skills
  • Roll up your sleeves work ethic
  • Ability to lift / move 30lbs
  • Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license (mileage reimbursed)
  • Available certain weekends for sampling events
