Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Member of the Technical Services, Global Compliance & Food Safety Team. Member of the team to assist in implementation and maintaining of all Food Safety and Quality Assurance systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds & implements all digital platforms for food safety and quality systems: Kip Traq & Specright platforms
- Develops & maintains reports from digital platform to identify opportunities and standards.
- Responsible for building supplier/vendor approval which will include supplier/vendor report cards.
- Responsible for all specification management
- Maintains and updates all customer portals.
- Manges organic compliance for company
- Responsible for Customer Complaints
- Responsible for the shelf-life program
- Works with marketing, QA and Compliance on nutritional panels and labels.
- Assist in all company audits, including internal audits and corrective actions as well as external supplier auditing.
- Participates in product development team
- Maintain all standards as required by law or statute
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance standards and methodology
- Superior leadership skills

- Good business acumen and multi-tasking skills
- Basic to intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite; Intermediate or better Excel skills
- Willingness and ability to travel when needed; must be able to travel to and from other countries to include the United States
- Strong problem and decision making skills
- Must be able to effectively analyze statistical data and make decisions based on that information
- Bilingual- English & Spanish preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in agriculture or other fresh food products
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a managerial/supervisory role
- Experience in a high volume/multi-line operation preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required: preferably in Food Science and Quality Assurance or related field
- Knowledge and understanding of the physical, chemical, and microbiological attributes and test procedures for all products
- Must be able to read, analyze and interpret technical information, procedures, government regulations and customer specifications
- Strong knowledge of Food Quality Systems
