JOB FILLED - Sales Coordinator

Job Description: 

The Nunes Company, Inc. has an immediate full-time position for a Sales Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large industry leading Salinas-based, grower shipper.
The Sales Coordinator will work directly with the sales team and assist in administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, answering emails, and phone calls to customers, adjustment memos, answering phone calls, input order entries and report generation.

  • B.S. / B.A. Degree preferred.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Acquire familiarity with products and suppliers; develop a positive working relationship with all sales staff and customers.
  • Manage communications and information flow with customers and sales team, including daily pricing/market run-down and daily contract pricing.
  • Maintain daily communication with cooling facilities and be knowledgeable about products and forecast.
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous manner and assist customers whenever appropriate.
  • Perform clerical duties that support the sales process – modifying and emailing our price list, running and distributing weekly sales reports, and filing paperwork.
  • Coordinate customer orders and accurately input into sales database.
  • Assist with order entry, as directed by sales team.
  • Monitor inventory and report oversells to sales team.
  • Track customer orders to delivery.
  • Create sales invoices for customers.
  • Work closely with our Inventory Controller to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure special customer requirements are accurate, current, and properly noted on the orders.
  • Ensure order changes, add-ons, or deletions are communicated to Sales Manager and sales staff as they occur.
  • Promptly and professionally respond to all inbound customer requests including phone calls and emails.
  • Monitor internet-based business to business portals.
  • Work effectively with sales personnel to resolve issues and disputes regarding shipments, products or accompanying follow-up activity.
  • Implement quick decisions and problem solving in the sudden and unplanned situations that can occur in produce sales and production.
  • Provide professional customer service in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on process improvement and contribution to improving teamwork and workflow.
