Job Description: 

Owner desires that this position grow in a career development path with increasing responsibilities to the General Manager position. 

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Supervision of 5 staff members
  • General ledger maintenance for 10 companies
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Seasonal growing cost reporting
  • Cash flow projections
  • Payroll tax reporting 
  • Coordination with CPA firm for income tax return preparation
  • Preparation of annual growing and lease agreements
  • Fiscal management of joint ventures
  • Profit sharing reporting and distributions 
  • Personnel management
  • Employee health insurance
  • Workers comp insurance and personnel safety 
  • General liability insurance
  • Trust accounting
  • Investment of operating cash 
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Science (BS) Degree with a major in Accounting
  • 6-8 years in progressively demanding accounting and management roles preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Agricultural experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Organizational skills to effectively multitask in times of competing demands
