Produce Packaging, Inc. is a family-owned fresh-cut processor and repacker, with over 240 employees, who delivers within a 600-mile radius from Cleveland, OH. We’re growing and constantly innovating! Each of our customers is unique, and we firmly believe in customizing products and packaging for them. We believe in exceeding our customers’ expectations. We process and pack a large amount of fresh produce for high-end and discount chain stores as well as foodservice and manufacturing accounts.
We are looking for a supervisor to help lead our Repack Dept., where we grade and pack fresh produce for various retail and food service customers.
As a supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supervise the production of our Repack Dept., which is composed of about 35-40 personnel.
- Assist with the organization of inventory in coolers
- Assign people to various production duties
- Assure that our customers' orders are produced in a quality, timely, and efficient fashion
- Help recruit, and evaluate employees on a regular basis, and discipline when required
- Assure that inventory is used according to plan, and that only high-quality products that meet our customers' specs. are produced
Skills needed/Other requirements:
- Minimum two years successful leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Work at least one weekend day/wk.
- Have flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime
