This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Produce Sales Representative to take our sales to a higher level and broader reach.

We want to hear from candidates who have a strong, established customer/supplier list, outstanding customer relationship management skills, and the ability to manage products and make wise decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic who is highly motivated to contribute to our growing organization. They will be adept at exercising independent judgment and initiative and possess a proven ability to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key customers. They will also be an assertive problem solver who looks beyond the standard solutions to overcome challenges and be comfortable working with a variety of personalities and individuals.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Achieve budgeted sales volume objectives, market penetration, average sales price by product and ultimately, contribute to company profitability
  • Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals
  • Grow distribution and placement in both new and existing accounts
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Identify and analyze local market dynamics and pursue new opportunities
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Assist A/R with collecting payments
Requirements: 
  • 3 - 5 years of sales experience in the fresh produce industry
  • Experience with berries is a plus
  • Must have a strong, established customer/supplier list,
  • Self-starter who has the passion and determination to work hard and meet or exceed goals
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within general company guidelines
  • Possess a proven ability to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key customers
  • Should be an assertive problem solver who looks beyond the standard solutions to overcome challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in a confident, decisive manner
  • Must be organized, able to multi-task and be a team player willing to go the “extra mile".
