A dynamic sales team has a great opportunity for growing retail and organic sales with the largest produce wholesale networks in North America! The company has been contracted for 10 years as an embedded sales team developing new category sales for well-established wholesale distributor networks nationwide.

The position reports to the National Sales Director and must be located within commuting distance of the client’s warehouse: South Florida, Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; or Kansas City, KS. This role will spend time working at the facility as well as work from a remote/home office.

This role will utilize strong product knowledge working with the operations team, supply chain knowledge working with the procurement team, and existing and new contacts to build consistent sales based on the customers’ needs. The candidate can expect an even mix of existing account management and new business development to achieve and exceed goals.

A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to oversee execution from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Located within commuting distance of client's facility in South Florida, Dallas, Denver, or Kansas City
  • Work from office at client’s facility to build rapport with sales, purchasing, and operations teams
  • Work with QC and shipping teams to ensure successful execution for customer needs
  • Develop and Onboard new accounts within geographical region
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and grow market share
  • Build on existing ad/promo programs and develop new ad/promo sales
  • Occasional travel as needed for customer visits and trade shows
  • Track and report performance
  • Set and achieve sales goals with existing accounts and new business onboarding
  • Set and achieve metrics goals including credit rates, fill rates, etc

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Previous experience in Produce Distribution – Organic experience is a plus
  • Produce Supply chain knowledge, including FOB, Logistics, Seasonality
  • Microsoft Office Proficient – especially Outlook and Excel
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
  • Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle
