We are currently accepting resumes for a Sales Associate to join our team in Mount Vernon, WA.
This is a full-time position, with the actual schedule to be determined. Incumbent can expect an early-morning start time, Monday through Friday. Will require some Saturday shifts during the packing season (September through May). Other months are more flexible.
- As part of a team and within developed parameters, sells potatoes to new and existing customers.
- Coordinates transportation of sold product.
- Handles disputes with customers, freight companies and other vendors.
- Works to assure packaged product meets grading standards.
- Inputs sales orders.
- Schedules inspections and processes paperwork for international shipments.
- Prepares and maintains all sales-related records.
- Designs and orders packaging materials.
- Helps develop and maintain marketing tools and campaigns, including the maintenance of company website(s).
- Develops new markets.
- Contributes to day-to-day efforts assuring quality standards are met.
- Works to further the company’s marketing efforts.
- Three year’s related experience.
- Intermediate-level skill using Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness and ability to use other computer programs.
- Ability to provide courteous customer service.
- Strong reasoning skills.
- Internet research skills
Preferred:
- Intermediate- to advanced-level skill using produce-specific software.
- Intermediate- to advanced-level skill using publishing, graphic-arts and website programs.
- Experience obtaining and scheduling trucks to ship product.
- Sales experience in the produce industry.
- A combination of experience and education may be substituted for certain qualifications.
